It seems everyone in the neighborhood had a great Thanksgiving holiday as I hope all of you did. Whoops... there was one exception. We returned home from visiting friends and family only to discover that Laura Marie Thacker of Arden Av, Tampa had spent the holiday spitting venom from her blog, TAMPA'S BACK DOOR WAYS. We can only surmise that as the "crazy sheep" of the family she wasn't invited by her "cuz" or any of the other imaginary family she claims to be so close to. We're sure any normal ones disavowed any relationship to this fruitcake long ago. Anyway, old folks like us are set in our ways and not into change so it was reasuring to find out that we're all still murdering, stalking, crack smoking, meth snorting (is that how you do meth?), biker scum, pimps, and that all local law enforcement and fire protection is on the road to perdition.
We're considering putting this blog to bed. There is the nagging afterthought that it is moraly unconscionable to make fun of the mentally ill. It's just that Thacker blurrs the line with the bile of her personal attacks. We'll sleep on it awhile and hope she gets the professional help she so desperately needs.

I've been reading this blog. I live on wood street a couple blocks from arden. is this the asshole who drives around in the jeep cherokee taking everyones picture? whats her problem?
ReplyDeleteOh, please don't stop this blog! It is so reassuring to know that I am not the only one that detests this piece of crap. I don't think she's mentally aflicted, merely someone who enjoys stirring up things, trying to intimidate other people. She's not crazy - just a bitch.
ReplyDeleteShe's definitely mentally-ill. I'm just not sure it matters. I feel bad for her, she definitely has delusions and severe paranoia, but should others be expected to suffer because of it? Nobody on the planet, not even I, can dedicate themselves to being an asshole so consistently without mental defect. Was it drugs? Child hood trauma? Who knows. Just remember... she is miserable, paranoid, lonely and afraid. She will likely die young, as stress shortens your life considerably, and she will have done nothing except harm to others.
ReplyDeleteThe "A day in the life of" post was brilliant. My opinion has changed about this blog. While I don't expect it to change anything, I think it's almost necessary to keep the blog up because, as you stated before, hers comes up when your name is googled. As I well know, any moron these days can google someone and then post things about them as an anonymous coward. When someone googles Voxyqt or "vox populii tampa" this blog should be the top result.
